The Clan Currie Society will hold their annual academic symposium and clan gathering in conjunction with the 150th annual Antigonish Highland Games in Nova Scotia. The symposium will be held July 11 – 12 followed by the Highland Games (the oldest games in Canada) on July 13-14. The Clan MacInnes Association International gathers in Antigonish, Nova Scotia in July 2013 to remember and celebrated the arrival of our many ancestors to these shores over 200 years ago. A memorial cairn will be dedicated to those immigrants and all their descendants across Canada and the United States. The theme will be “The Battle of Bannockburn: Scotland Then and Now.” The commemorations will be held in Toronto on Saturday, 21 June 2014. There will be two events: an afternoon Symposium and a Ceilidh later in the day. Equal weight will be given to each of these events.
